As part of it's current five-year Transit Development Plan, Pierce Transit is proactively replacing aging security devices and upgrading it’s physical security software. We are providing ICT design services for these security improvements, including CCTV and card access systems upgrades and integrating these sub-subsystems with Pierce Transit’s ongoing emergency warning system (EWS) platform. We are documenting newly installed devices and head-end systems and providing recommendations to improve security video systems with analytics.

Improvements are being made throughout the Pierce Transit system, including Lakewood Transit Center, Puyallup Transit Center, Parkland Transit Center, 72nd Street Transit Center, Tacoma Mall Transit Center, Tacoma Community College Transit Center, 10th and Commerce Street Transit Center, Tacoma Dome Station Transit Center, Kimball Transit Center, Purdy Park-and-Ride, and the headquarters buildings.
